Doula
Bringing a baby into the world is life-changing and having the right support can make all the difference. As your doula, I’m here to walk beside you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with steady, consistent, and judgment-free care.
Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, I’ll meet you where you are at, emotionally and physically, to help you feel prepared, confident, and supported every step of the way.
To empower you and your partner, it’s best we begin working together prior to 36 weeks, so you are both confident and feeling prepared when baby decides it’s time.
For your prenatal visits, I’d love to be able to support you in your home, where you are likely to be labouring prior to going to the hospital. For postpartum visits, I’d come to your home to support you, your new baby, and your family, where you are most comfortable.
For those interested, I offer homeopathy support during labour. Homeopathy consists of natural remedies that can support your labour and delivery care and postpartum recovery.
Prenatal Support:
• Preparing for labour and delivery – information on interventions and position options
• There are many choices to make once baby arrives to help you feel informed and empowered. My role as your doula is to support you in your decisions and to help you feel informed
• Pain management options available
• Breastfeeding preparation support
• Environmental preparation for baby – for example, a nursing station/space, diapering station, sleeping space, etc.
• Preparing for baby’s sleep environment – crib, co-sleeping, bassinet, etc.
• Postpartum planning support regarding friends and family visits
• Preparing for the fourth trimester – food trains, meal prepping, cleaning, bathing, sleep, laundry, self-care, connection, plan for siblings (home, child care, school), etc.
• Emotional support for when fear bubbles up and you are looking to talk through or have questions about your fear(s)
• Reiki support if you desire (distance or in person)
• Call and text support
Labour and Delivery Support:
• The beginnings of labour can be unpredictable – sometimes slow, sometimes quick. I’m available for call or text support during this time
• Things are heating up, you are in active labour – I can meet you at home, or meet you at the hospital, where I will remain until baby arrives
• Reiki support is available if you desire
• Tools I supply – a rebozo, birthing comb, stress balls, TENS machine, and homeopathy
• I can give you hands-on support – a hand to squeeze, massage, helping you into positions, etc.
• I will be a constant support during your labour, in case of shift changes or if the on-call doctor/midwife arrives instead of the one you've been working with
• For a couple of hours after baby arrives, I’ll be with you to help everyone settle and to support you as you start breastfeeding
Postpartum Support:
• Once you're home with baby, I come to your space to help you recover, rest, and adjust with confidence. Postpartum is tender and raw – having someone by your side can make all the difference
• I’m also here to listen. This season can feel overwhelming. I’ll hold space for whatever you're feeling – no judgment, no “shoulds.” Just someone who gets it
• Breastfeeding support – I’m not a lactation consultant, but I am a mom of four who’s nursed through tongue ties, reflux, and cluster feeding. I’ll support you with what’s worked, what is normal, and when to call in extra help
• I can be there to care for baby so you can rest, eat with two hands, shower, self-care, etc.
• Help around your home – laundry, tidying the kitchen, sweeping or vacuuming, etc.
• If you have older kids, I can help entertain or care for them so you can bond with baby or just have a moment of quiet
• Reiki support if you desire, for you or baby, at your home, distance, or at my home treatment space
• Call or text support
Doula support does not need to include Reiki or Mediumship. It can be separate from my other offerings.
